Client-centered advocacy services specifically for adults ages 50 and older. An advocate is available to meet in-home or in another safe location of the client's choosing. An advocate can meet with a client and caregivers or support people if desired, over the course of several weeks or months to help each person achieve his or her personal goals for safety and well-being. Services provided: - Arranging transportation to meetings and appointments - Connecting with government and community programs for additional services - Helping to identify and secure housing - Navigating legal systems and finding pro bono legal assistance - Offering emotional support, therapy and support groups - Offering resources for financial assistance

Southern Valley Alliance partners with law enforcement, attorneys, and other agencies to advocate for and empower survivors to navigate the civil and/or criminal justice system. Services include: - Accompaniment civil court hearings and assistance throughout the court process - Court Advocacy Program: Assist survivors of domestic violence with obtaining immediate and long-term legal protections, as well as companionship during the petition and court hearing processes. Advocates provide survivors with a network of support and help survivors navigate the civil and criminal court processes surrounding domestic violence. - Emergency 911 cell phones - Explanations regarding the court process and judgments - Help with filing for protection orders such as an Order for Protection or Harassment Restraining Order - Referrals to attorneys, victim assistance providers, and crisis intervention programs - Safety planning

Services provided include: - Helpline staffed with trained advocates to help those experiencing violence, harassment, or harm - Crisis intervention services, confidential crisis counseling, and advocacy services for LGBTQ+ victims/survivors of violence and harassment - Assistance with navigating systems, safety planning, finding shelter, peer counseling, and filing protective orders - Referrals for resources and services provided by community organizations, including pro bono LGBTQ+ friendly attorneys - Filing police reports, pursuing reparations - Support groups for LGBTQ+ victims/survivors of violence on occasion - Will work with LGBTQ+ youth and adults Note: Does not provide shelter or legal services
