A new Senior Behavioral Health Unit opened at the former North Country Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in September 2004. The former site is now called Lakeside Campus. The state of Minnesota leases several thousand square feet of the Lakeside Campus for its Community Behavioral Health Hospital.

Partners with the Minnesota Department of Health to provide intervention, investigation, and education for children with elevated blood lead levels. Conducts follow-up on all high lead cases, offers guidance and referrals for medical care, and coordinates home inspections for cases with blood lead levels above 15 µg/dL. Staff work collaboratively to identify potential lead sources, reduce exposure risks, and ensure appropriate medical follow-up and family support.
