Provides health and wellness services and program that address the unmet health care needs of Somali women including: - Doula and home visiting services - Referrals to trusted health care providers - Trained health care navigators

The program provides: - Help to access medical and financial resources, schooling, job training, housing, child support, baby equipment - Prenatal, postnatal and parenting education - Public health nurse visits at myHealth, home, school or other site - Individual case management - Referrals to other health care services - Childbirth preparation education and doula support in labor and delivery - Nutrition, exercise and healthy lifestyle education, mentorship programs, cooking classes

The Cultural Wellness Center has an array of classes and programs available to the community, helping individuals to achieve optimum health and well being through a holistic and guided approach toward wellness. Services consist of the following programs: - Map to Wellness: Assists with creating a step by step action plan to assist individuals in overcoming barriers that prevent personal wellness, health and spiritual well-being - Community Re-entry: Assists individuals who feel isolated and disconnected from family and community by providing a network of community people and resources - Life Coaching: Center elders are available to check-in with anyone who finds themselves in need of guidance, advice, permission, assurance, understanding, and wisdom or anything of a similar nature - Cultural Self-Study: Works with individuals to provide them with the knowledge and guidance that enhances their capacity and frame to do a cultural self-study - Problem Solving: Works with community members to produce the knowledge and insight that will alleviate their problems and prevent them from happening. - Health Institute: Convenes circles of healing for families experiencing illness or loss, support for pregnant women throughout pregnancy including on-staff Doulas services, provides assistance to develop cultural ceremonies and rituals for life events

Works with community education and area hospitals to provide education to expectant and new parents, professional labor support for teen moms, and moms without partners. Available services include: - Group and private classes - Doula services - Private in-home Lamaze classes - Breastfeeding support

Birthing care service may include: - Care for Ill and premature babies - Certified lactation consultants - Certified nurse-midwives (CNM) - Chaplains - Doulas - Labor and delivery nurses - Maternal Fetal Medicine - Neonatology - Obstetrician-gynecologists (OB-GYNs) - Pediatricians - Postnatal care and education

Provides culturally sensitive services for black women during their pregnancy and early postpartum journey so as to alleviate stressors that may lead to preterm birth or low birth weight babies, including: - Care navigation - Case management - Community resource referrals - Doula support during labor and delivery - Monthly support circles - New parent/family support - Perinatal yoga - Pregnancy related health screenings and well baby care

Provides child birth, prenatal, and breastfeeding classes; offers nurse-midwife and doula services; labor and delivery services; etc. Centering Pregnancy: a prenatal care in a group setting with other expectant mothers. Groups of 8 - 12 women are seen together throughout their entire pregnancies.

Provides resources and support to African American pregnant women and mothers with small children. Services include: - Access to health care services ?- Baby supplies for program participants ?- Doula services ?- New parent/family support ?- Pregnancy related health screenings/well baby care ?- Support groups for pregnant or new moms, new parents, and pregnancy issues

Provides educational classes to pregnant women, mothers, parents, or individuals making an adoption plan to engage in positive mentor relationships, life coaching, setting goals, and activities, with the opportunity to earn items. Items Earned by Participation: - Adult care items - Breastfeeding supplies - Infant care items such as clothing, diapers, diaper wipes, etc. - Maternity clothes voucher and baby clothing voucher - Pack N'Play and/or car seat Educational Classes Offered: - Breastfeeding education and support - Car seat safety education - Childbirth education - Doula services - Infant CPR - Infant care - Life groups - Life skills - Parenting - Safe sleep

Provides community outreach, education, mentoring, and support for pregnant teens and mothers with small children in the Native American community - Live It!: Teen pregnancy prevention and sexuality education curriculum for youth ages 11-18 - Nandagenim program: Support for mothers and children diagnosed with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) - Ninde My Heart: Doula services - Women of Traditional Birthing: Group meets every Wednesday from 12 noon - 2 pm (includes childcare, cultural activities, meal, and transportation assistance)
