High school students attend courses within their home school and SouthWest Metro Educational Cooperative programming for 1 or 2 hours daily. - Adult Career and Technical Education provides customized training for businesses and schools, Spanish and English workplace language classes, workplace literacy, vocational evaluation program ?- Youth Career and Technical Education provides preparation in agriculture occupations, automotive technology, CISCO Network Academy, construction trades, cosmetology, criminal justice program, graphic design and print, health care careers, photography, Project Lead the Way/Intro to Engineering Design, work experience, Youth Apprenticeship, and YouthBuild Program

Participants build skills and gain professional qualifications to find employment that is a right fit for them - Dislocated Workers Program: Assistance with professional career guidance, training assistance, and job placement services to individuals who have lost their job through no fault of their own - Family Stability/MFIP - Minnesota Family Investment Program: Assistance for parents who receive MFIP to help them build family-sustaining careers - Youth Services: Provides coaching, support, and training to help youth and young adults complete a diploma or GED, explore careers, and gain employment in a field they are interested

Extended Employment - Goodwill - True North

Program provides the skills and support people with disabilities or barriers to employment need to succeed in the workplace and match them up with the right job. Situational Assessment - a short-term work experience designed to help individuals explore their vocational aptitudes and determine the types of support services that will be needed in the workplace. - Centered-based employment - Paid work at the main facility. Offers various jobs including donation processing, janitorial services, stocking, retail sales, office work, and shipping. Works with individuals in identifying a job within the facility that is well-matched to their skills and interests - Community based employment - Provides paid work in the community to individuals that need ongoing support to maintain their employment. These jobs are often on crews and may include janitorial, lawn-work, and snow removal - Supported employment - Provides employment with local community employers. Workers who are hired for community jobs continue to receive training and support from Goodwill Vocational Services team members, and are paid by the hiring company. Area employers may include Super One Foods, Olive Garden, Bernick's Pepsi, Minnesota Power, Grandma's Restaurant, TJ Maxx, Aerostich, Sain. Lukes, Duluth Grill, and WalMart.
