- Public Works Department: Provides street sweeping, snow plowing, maintains parks and equipment, right-of-way tree trimming, storm drain care, repair of potholes on streets, cemetery care, and maintenance
- Compost Site: Located at 31501 Lofton Avenue Chisago City, MN 55013. Open 2 pm - 7 pm Wednesday, 9 am - 4 pm Saturday and 1 pm - 4 pm Sunday May - November. Residents can compost leaves, grass clippings and brush (up to three inches in diameter). Individuals wishing to drop off raw compost will be asked for identification (driver's license, sewer and water bill and/or tax statement) showing their address.

Parks Department - Nobles County Public Works Office
Provides a variety of recreational experiences for public enjoyment. The seven parks within the system are located throughout the county. Provides an appropriate level of maintenance service for each park's intended use. It also is responsible for the management of the park resources, collection of permit and camping fees, reserving camping facilities, and enforcement of park rules.
- Fury's Island County Park: Provides camping, natural areas, lake access, showers, and a large picnic shelter for gatherings, and reunions.
- Hawkeye County Park: Located on Indian Lake. It provides for lake access and a natural habitat setting.
- Maka-Oicu County Park: Provides for camping, lake access, natural areas, swimming beach, picnic areas, historic site, and general park activities. The park has onsite showers and a large picnic shelter for reunions and gatherings.
- Midway County Park: Located on an old gravel pit and provides for a natural habitat setting. The park consists of 45 undeveloped acres.
- Pickerel County Park: Consists of 4 developed acres.
- Sportsman County Park: Provides for lake access, and consists of 1 developed acre and 6 undeveloped acres.
- Sunrise Prairie County Park: A historic pioneer cemetery and an original prairie grass area. The park consists of 22 undeveloped acres.
