Winona Counseling Clinic is a private therapy practice offering conjoint, family, individual, and telehealth counseling settings. General counseling topics include: abuse, adoption/foster care, aging, alcohol use disorder, anger management, bereavement/grief, bullying, caregiver, cultural transition, death and dying, divorce, domestic violence, drug use disorder, family planning, parenting, pre-marriage and marriage, relationships, reproductive issues, sexual assault, spiritual/religious issues, suicide, terminal illness, and weight-related issues. This practice offers mental health screenings and assessments including: anxiety disorders screening, court ordered DUI evaluations, depression screening, early intervention for mental illness, eating disorders screening, general assessments for substance use disorders, general mental health screening, psychological assessment, and psychological testing. This practice also offers an impaired driver program for adolescents and adults. Additionally, counseling is offered for people with anxiety disorders, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADD/ADHD), bi-polar disorder, co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, depression, eating disorders, mood disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), panic disorders, perinatal/postpartum depression, personality disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), reactive attachment disorder, and self injury. Counseling for people with the following health disorders is also available: cancer, chronic illness, chronic pain, diabetes, heart disease, multiple sclerosis, physical disabilities. Provides foster care for children who experience an unsafe and/or unstable home environment, provides families with reunification services, and adoption services. Traditional Foster Care Youth with unique needs have a safe place to live in a family setting. Emergency Foster Care 24/7 emergency short term foster care for kids needing immediate placement in a safe and nurturing environment typically due to situations of abuse, neglect, or unsafe living conditions. Short Term Foster Care Provides foster families a period of planned relief (30 days or less) with licensed providers to fill in as needed. Whole Family Foster Care Provides intensive support and collaborative services to parents who are at-risk of losing their children. Supervised Visitation Provides opportunities for foster kids to spend time with their families and/or receive therapeutic support in a supervised setting. These visits can take place in the Nexus-Kindred offices, in the family's home, or in other community settings. Foster Youth Support Provides an individualized care plan for each youth and matches each child with the foster home that fits them best. Provides special medical care for youth with complex conditions who might otherwise require hospitalization or institutional care. Provides support services to youth ages 14 and older who are transitioning out of foster care and into independent living. Foster Parent Support Provides ongoing training, 24/7 crisis support, and respite care for foster parents.
