Front Door consolidates intake for most programs and connects clients to the level of service that best meets their needs. Front Door Screener's connect clients to: - Community resources or other providers - Coordinated Entry System (CES) assessments for families based on eligibility criteria. Families can visit the website to fill out a Families Coordinated Entry referral form. - Education or consultation of county programs - Intake assessments of county-operated programs. For clients identified as needing county intervention, a Front Door Service Planner will conduct a thorough evaluation of needs and provide short-term case management as well as assess client eligibility for possible ongoing services from the county or a contracted provider.

A project by Children's Defense Fund - Minnesota which works to improve the well-being of families and individuals by linking them to public work support programs and tax credits. By answering a few simple questions, families will be able to see if they're eligible for tax credits and public work support programs that help pay for health care, food, child care, and energy costs. The tool is designed to be quick, easy, and confidential. It will not ask for any information that identifies the individual. If the tool identifies a family as potentially eligible for a program, they will receive information about how to apply and who can assist with the application.
- Pre-screen food support applicants - Offer application assistance either in person or over the phone - Provide information on other local food resources - ?Food Support or Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) formerly known as Food Stamps is a County-based program that provides food benefits to low-income individuals and families. It serves to help supplement monthly grocery budgets, ensuring access to healthy foods. - Tri-CAP offers screening to those who are interested in the program but aren't sure if they qualify or not. For those who may qualify, application assistance is offered either in person or over the phone. The completed application is then submitted to the county in which the client resides.

A secure website that allows users to apply for state and county services, such as: Cash Programs: Help individuals and families meet their basic needs until they can support themselves. Individuals will get an EBT card that they can use like a debit card. The most common cash programs: - Diversionary Work Program (DWP) ?- General Assistance (GA) ?- MN Family Investment Program (MFIP) ?- MN Supplemental Aid (MSA) ?- Refugee Cash Assistance (RCA) - Tribal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Child Care Assistance: Help families pay for day child care so that parents can pursue employment or education. It is for children age 12 and younger. Emergency Assistance: Help with shelter payments, such as past-due rent, to stop evictions or foreclosure. It can also be used for utilities when there is a threat of disconnection. Food assistance (SNAP): Assist with food. Individuals receive an EBT card that can be used like a debit card to buy groceries at select stores and farmers' markets. Housing Support (GRH): Housing Support program used to be called Group Residential Housing (GRH). Helps seniors and adults age 65 or older and/or adults with disabilities who have low-income pay for housing costs and things people need to stay housed in certain group settings or in the community. It helps prevent people from living in institutions or becoming homeless.
