The George Wellbeing programs offer guidance, virtually or one-on-one in a group setting, with a board-certified coach, to help participants navigate healthy choices. Adult Sports Leagues: Provides team, doubles, and individuals sport activities. Opportunities for members and non-members. Kids Sports: Provides year-round activities and program for kids of all ages and skill levels, including youth sports leagues and classes, summer sports, Homeschool Physical Education, and adult sports leagues. Members and non-members are welcome to participate. Offers youth with disabilities age 8 and up opportunities to participate in the Blazing Stars Special Olympics Team. The Young Athletes program introduces children ages 2 to 7 with and without intellectual disabilities to the world of sports. Orthology: Provides physical therapy and chiropractic services Kids and Families: Provides exercises classes, adventure racing, free child care while members work out, Parents Night Out provides child care for an evening out, family friendly fitness centers, and youth and family fitness cards that outlines an entire workout from warm-ups to cool down stretches. Journey to Freedom: Provides an 8 week session where participants meet in small-group discussions, read, reflect, find support, and heal. The goal of the program is to build community and support successful life change in a safe place. Specialty series include Freedom from Body Image and Food Issues, Freedom from Low Self-Esteem, Freedom from the Pain of Grief and Disappointment, and Freedom from Fear. Condition Specific Programs: Include tailored health and fitness programs for people with health conditions including Parkinson's disease and pre-diabetes. Water Safety Program: Provides reduced cost water safety instruction for kids ages 5 - 14 and swimming lessons for ages 6 months to adult. Offers parent and child, school-age children, preschool children, and teen and adult swimming lessons and water safety instruction. Member and non-member rates available. Provides trainings and certifications for lifeguard training, CPR and first aid, babysitting safety, safety training for coaches and instructor level training. Brookside is also the home of the new Environmental Learning Center. - City Beach: North Shore and Johnson features a swimming area with no lifeguards, picnic benches, restrooms, a skate park, and a sand volleyball court - Community Dog Park: 501 Richway Drive West features a dog park with a divided large and small off-leash field and access to the Brookside walking trail - Dress Island: Botsford and Lakeview feature a green space with benches and a new wooden bridge - East Gate Park: East Gate and Garfield features a neighborhood park with green space, play apparatus, and a basketball court - Eberhardt Park: Eberhardt and David features a neighborhood park with green space, play apparatus, and a small shelter - Edgewater Park: Edgewater and Lakeview features two picnic shelters with fireplaces, a public boat landing, a bandshell, horseshoe courts, play apparatus, a baseball/softball diamond, volleyball net, restrooms, and picnic tables - Frank Hall Park and City Aquatic Center: Front Street and Frank Avenue features a green space overlooking the channel to Albert Lea Lake. There are three tennis courts, a basketball court, a zero-depth splash pool, and a water slide. - Fountain Lake Park: Broadway and Fountain features green space, a gazebo for events, a children's garden, and park benches - Hawthorne Park: Garfield Avenue and Hawthorne Street features a play apparatus, baseball/softball diamond, and a warming house with an ice skating/hockey rink - Hayek Park: 4th Avenue and Clark Street features two lighted baseball/softball diamonds, a batting cage, play apparatus, a basketball court, restrooms, and a warming house with an ice skating/hockey rink - Katherine Island: Albert Lea and Green Avenue features an island on Fountain Lake with park benches - Lakeview Park: Lakeview and Willamor features a neighborhood park, a basketball court, restrooms, two soccer fields, and a warming house with an ice skating/hockey rink - Memorial Park: 8th Street and Margaretha features a neighborhood park and open space - Morin Park: West Main Street and Saint Mary features two baseball/softball diamonds, play apparatus, and basketball court - New Denmark Park: Bridge Avenue and Green Avenue features a green space next to Katherine Island with park benches, a mermaid statue, and a flower garden - Pioneer Park: 100 Hawthorne Street features a picnic shelter, a small gazebo, restrooms, picnic tables, and play apparatus - Shoff Park: Highway 13 and Elmira features the Higbie Gardens, a small picnic shelter, picnic tables, and limited play apparatus - Shoreland Heights Park: The Fairway and Garden Lane features green space and new play apparatus - Shorewood Hills Park: Brookside Circle features an open space - Snyder Fields: Bridge Avenue and Hershey Street features a lighted athletic complex with five ball diamonds, picnic tables, and four volleyball courts - Sondergaard Park: Gene Avenue and 17th Street features a baseball/softball diamond, a basketball court, green space, and play apparatus - Southwest Park: Front Street and Maplehill Drive features an abundant green space, basketball court, six tennis courts, and a baseball/softball diamond - Troy Hammer Park: Hammer Road and Troy Road features play apparatus, basketball court, and a baseball/softball diamond - Valley Park: Valley Avenue and Giles Place features play apparatus, restrooms, and a baseball/softball diamond
