The COPE mobile crisis team can go to anyone in Hennepin County who needs an urgent response. Bi-lingual and bi-cultural staff is available for face-to-face, phone, and video visits when needed. Services are provided by volunteers and are confidential. Services also include: - Assistance in de-escalation of psychiatric emergencies - Assessment of immediate need for crisis/emergency services (telephone triage) - Clinical consultation with designated mental health professionals - Coordination with consumers, family, policy, health care providers and hospital emergency rooms - Documentation of assessment and consumer crisis plan - Mobile crisis response team - Referral for crisis stabilization services - Risk assessment and evaluation for more intensive services NOTE: COPE only provides gun locks to clients who have already been assessed by staff and are for clients experiencing a mental health crisis.
