Homeless families may remain with their children while receiving help for chemical dependency.
- Provides families with a support network of services and increases their chances of staying sober.
- These services work with families as part of a plan of care coordinated with other agencies. Women and men and their families will be able to stay for up to two years, but must be in treatment or in a treatment aftercare program.
- There are four two-bedroom apartments for the women and their children, a one-bedroom apartment for the on-site manager, and a room that is used for meetings and for studying on computers.
- The household will become a community of support and will provide social activities so the women will not be enticed to go back to their old lifestyle of hanging out with drinking friends.
