Homeless families may remain with their children while receiving help for chemical dependency.

• Provides families with a support network of services and increases their chances of staying sober.

• These services work with families as part of a plan of care coordinated with other agencies. Women and men and their families will be able to stay for up to two years, but must be in treatment or in a treatment aftercare program.

• There are four two-bedroom apartments for the women and their children, a one-bedroom apartment for the on-site manager, and a room that is used for meetings and for studying on computers.

• The household will become a community of support and will provide social activities so the women will not be enticed to go back to their old lifestyle of hanging out with drinking friends.

• Crime prevention including Neighborhood Watch, a law enforcement program that enlists the participation of citizens in crime prevention. Neighborhood Watch involves residents watching out for one another. Program requires that a block captain keep a list of residents in the neighborhood who are willing to participate in the program and receive information on calls for service, crime prevention ideas, and how to report suspicious activity if it occurs.

• Community Service Officers (CSOs)/Citizen's Academy: Non-sworn uniformed employees whose assigned duties and responsibilities by their nature do not require the services of a police officer.

-Police Explorers/Teen Police Academy: Provides children and young adults the chance to gain exposure to various careers in law enforcement

Provides women's outpatient treatment. Treats chemical dependency and mental health issues at any point during recovery, averting the need for residential treatment. Treatment plans are women-centric and culturally specific.

Winona County Alliance for Substance Abuse Prevention (ASAP) is a coalition of community members devoted to cultivating a drug-free culture for children and teens in the Winona area. They work within our schools and the wider community to raise awareness and reduce substance abuse through education and programs.

Rule 29 outpatient mental health services with a person-centered, holistic, and integrated approach to treating mental illnesses, challenges, and co-occurring diagnoses. Services provided:

Intensive adult outpatient services, including group treatment, and relapse services. Additional services include case management services and referrals.

Assessment of chemical use and assistance with setting up next step in legal intervention and chemical use treatment

Acknowledges and treats substance abuse and gambling as an illness and offers CBT and DBT therapies to address it. Individual sessions with a psychotherapist are available. At the first appointment, individuals will meet with assessment staff who will recommend an appropriate program. Intensive outpatient program: Includes 9 hours of group therapy per week, individual counseling, and education on the impact substance use has on the mind and body. The program offers family meetings and counseling. Provides a plan, based on structure and accountability, to live a better life free from using drugs and alcohol. ?Karen community recovery program: Offers the first culturally specific Karen substance use disorder treatment in the US. Karen Recovery Program was developed with the Karen Organization of Minnesota (KOM) to provide addiction treatment with a culturally specific approach and Karen peer recovery support. ??Outpatient treatment: Provides 4 - 7 hours of group therapy per week as well as individual counseling, education, and family involvement. ?Recovery management: Meets once per week for 2 hours. Clients develop their personalized Recovery Care Plan to assist them as they prepare to leave treatment and begin continuing their lives in recovery and freedom. Senior recovery program: Is an intensive treatment program for patients who are 55 or older with a substance use disorder. A senior co-occurring program is also available for patients who are 55 or older with a substance use disorder and another mental health diagnosis.
