Cash-grant program for adults with low incomes experiencing a household emergency. Adults can receive assistance once every 12 months. The assistance received must resolve the crisis. Adults must use their own money first. The amount of assistance provided might not cover the entire emergency, but it can help.Short-term, one-time grant assistance for persons in a financial crisis because of fire, flood, storm, illness, accident, theft, utility shut-off, eviction, foreclosure, moving expense, necessary home repairs, or need for furniture or appliance replacement or repair.

The COPE mobile crisis team is available for in person therapeutic support anywhere in Hennepin County. Bi-lingual and bi-cultural staff are available for face-to-face, phone, and video visit when needed. Services are provided by mental health professionals and practitioners. Services include:- 24 hours/7 days a week, open 365 days a year mobile crisis response team and phone service- Assistance in de-escalation of psychiatric emergencies to help calm the situation and help the client decide what to do next- Assessment of immediate need for crisis/emergency services (telephone triage). Talk through ways to support the individual who is in crisis.- Community support and resources depending on the situation- Outreach to the community in the individual's home, school, or another public place- Partners with communities to support healing after crises. Services are free and addresses communities' immediate and long-term needs following a traumatic event. Support is tailored to the situation. Services may include, Crisis Intervention and Psychological First Aid, Critical Incident Stress Debriefing (CISD), Healing Circles, workshops, trainings, outreach, and engagement activities.- Referral to short-term stabilization program, up to 8 weeks of therapy and linkage to long-term services after the initial visitNOTE: COPE can provide gun locks to clients who have already been assessed by staff and are for clients experiencing a mental health crisis. COPE has only a limited amount of gun locks and requests that anyone looking for a gun lock should be referred elsewhere.
