Children's Therapeutic Services and Support (CTSS): Provides therapeutic interventions for children and adolescents whose functioning is impaired due to a mental health or emotional difficulty. Skills training focuses on daily living activities and coping strategies. Outreach services are offered in the home, school, or community to help children and families build skills, regain abilities, and support healthy development. Children's Day Treatment Services: Offers intensive daily programming within the school setting to help children improve behavioral, social, and emotional functioning. Services may include group therapy, skills training, family therapy/skills training, and individual therapy as needed.

  • Cleanup of a crime scene
  • Purchase and installation of necessary home security devices
  • Reimbursement for reasonable travel and living expenses that the victim incurred to attend court proceedings that were held at a location other than the place where the crime occurred due to the change in venue
  • Reimbursement of towing and storage fees incurred due to impoundment of a recovered stolen vehicle
  • Replacement of necessary property that was lost, damaged or stolen as a result of a crime
  • Transportation to locations related to the victim's needs as a victim, sch as medical facilities and facilities of the criminal justice system Victims of crime have also received funding through the program for items such as repairing a broken door, installing new locks, and replacing clothing or bedding taken as evidence.

Program for co-occurring MI/CD treats mental and chemical health issues concurrently. This program follows national guidelines for IDDT and uses a DBT curriculum specially adapted and researched for dual disorders. Clients in this therapy program learn skills to improve mental health, decrease substance use, and to build more satisfying relationships and lives. The IDD DBT program meets three days weekly at the Edina (West Metro) and Woodbury (East Metro) locations.

Provides cash assistance to help adults receiving Supplemental Security Income - SSI pay for their basic needs. Adults who are blind, have a disability, or are age 65 and older but don't qualify for SSI because of their income may still be eligible for MSA if they meet income requirements. The basic monthly MSA grant is calculated using either the Maximum SSI amount (Federal Benefit Rate) for the adult or their countable income (if they do not receive SSI), and the MSA standard set by state law. Special Needs Grant MSA also may provide special payments for adults who need:
  • Certain home repairs
  • Certain household furniture and appliances
  • Guardian or conservator service fees
  • Help paying for housing costs through MSA Housing Assistance
  • Medically prescribed special diets
  • Representative payee services
Adults who receive MSA are also eligible for help with medical, food, and housing costs through Medical Assistance - MA, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program - SNAP, and MSA Housing Assistance programs.

Helps individuals and families with low incomes (including temporary low incomes) get the food they need for nutritious and well-balanced meals. Provides extra support to help stretch a household's food budget - it is not meant to cover all the groceries a family needs. Monthly benefits are loaded on the Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card, which looks and works like a debit card. The card can be used to buy groceries at authorized stores, farmers markets, and online retailers. Learn more about where to shop and what can be bought. The amount of benefits received is based on income, expenses, and number of people in the household. The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Employment and Training (SNAP E&T) program provides free employment, education training, and support for people getting SNAP benefits. SNAP E&T participants gain support, skills, training, or experience to reach their goals. Many organizations, including technical and community colleges, community-based organizations, county agencies, tribes, and CareerForce Centers provide SNAP E&T programs and services. Programs can include career planning, job search, training for in-demand jobs, student support, financial support, and continued support once a participant has a job.

Families must use their own money first. The amount of assistance provided might not cover the entire emergency, but it can help. The one-time grant assistance may help individuals in a financial crisis because of fire, flood, storm, illness, accident, theft, utility shut off (electric, gas, heating fuel, water service payment assistance), eviction, foreclosure, moving expense and/or deposit, necessary home repairs, or need for furniture or appliance replacement or repair.
