Offers community education services to youth, parents, educators, and the public. The Annex provides two options, in person or virtual, for presentations to ensure everyone has access to vital sexual health education. Other topics include:

RNs work in the living area 24 hours/7 days a week, providing care that unlicensed staff cannot, such as feeding tubes, injections, catheter care, insulin administration, etc.

Provides triage services for situations as needed and reviews county case information. Services include:

• Assistance with housing and basic needs

• Community Collaborative Fund: Initial assessment for households at risk of homelessness. Individuals must have been denied by the Saint Louis County EGA or EA program, or have already used EGA/EA within the last 18 months. ESG (Emergency Solutions Grant) funds are determined to be used for rent, rental deposit, mortgage, or utilities. NOTE: There is currently no funding at this time.

• Forms and certificate assistance for county programs such as SNAP, WIC, EGA/EA, GA, child care assistance, MFIP, Minnesota Supplemental Aid, or Housing Support. Also, follow up with issues regarding MNsure applications.

• Referrals to community services, mental health, and chemical dependency services outside of Saint Louis County

Provides emergency utility assistance for individuals with no other options for aid. The funds are used to help individuals pay for natural gas, oil, propane, and electricity depending on what heats their home.

Promotes the accessibility of early, intensive home and center based behavioral therapy including:

• Assessment and intervention

• Behavior management

• Speech and communication therapy

• Early education child care for toddlers from ages 1 year and 4 months - 2 years and 9 months

• Kindergarten readiness for preschoolers ages 2 years and 9 months - 6 years, full day slots

• Emphasis on arts and multiculturalism, full and part time slots

• Parent education and parent-child activities

Offers person-to-person guidance, understanding, and reassurance over the phone for any girl or woman with an unplanned pregnancy. Refers to programs and organizations that can work with the individual and help them find the resources they need in their community, including a local pregnancy center in their area.

Brings the arts into communities across the state and makes creators out of everyone in the room, library, fairground, or wherever a community gathers.

• Community and Recreation Centers: artists teach photography groups, lead kids in creating murals, guide youth as they grow their skills in songwriting, spoken word, hip hop, and more.

• Festivals and Parks: artists present workshops, lead art activity booths and perform main stage shows for festivals and parks.

• Libraries: COMPAS artists perform for children's storytime, create with older adults during weekly art-making sessions, lead hands-on workshops for kids during out-of-school days, and put on some killer celebrations of literature, arts, and culture in libraries across the state. With libraries becoming prime community gathering and media centers, they are an exceptional place to engage in the arts.

• Summer School or After School Programs: any of the Creative Classroom programs can be modified for out-of-school time programs. Kids make new connections, grow a mastery of skills, and have more fun than they ever expected.

• Youth Employment Program: uses apprenticeship concepts for small cohorts of teens to learn and create with professional artists in a work environment. Apprenticeship projects take place during the summer in the visual, literary, or performing arts.

Offers a full range of hospice services provided by doctors, nurses, and specialists in the fields of OT/PT/ST, massage therapy, music, pet therapy, and spiritual counseling. Also provides bereavement services for friends and family up to 13 months. Hospice services are provided in private residences, independent living, assisted living, memory care, long-term care facilities, group homes, cabins, and shelters.

Cash-grant program for adults with low incomes experiencing a household emergency. Adults can receive assistance once every 12 months. The assistance received must resolve the crisis. Adults must use their own money first. The amount of assistance provided might not cover the entire emergency, but it can help. ?Short-term, one-time grant assistance for persons in a financial crisis because of fire, flood, storm, illness, accident, theft, utility shut-off, eviction, foreclosure, moving expense, necessary home repairs, or need for furniture or appliance replacement or repair.

The Child Support Division assists with:

• Adjusting court orders based on the cost-of-living index

• Collecting and processing payments

• Establishing parentage

• Establishing and enforcing court orders for child support, medical support, and child care support

• Locating parents

• Reviewing and modifying court orders for support

• Works with other states to enforce support when one parent does not live in Minnesota

Minnesota Child Support Online https://www.childsupport.dhs.state.mn.us/Welcome.request : an interactive website developed by the State of Minnesota to provide child support participants with information about their case(s). NOTE: Either parent of a child may get certain child support services. Parents who do not receive public assistance can apply for services at their county child support office for a one-time $25 service fee. Parents who receive public assistance for a child whose other parent does not live with them are automatically referred for services and are not charged a service fee.
