Patients who need to speak with a financial counselor, need cost of care estimates, or determine if they may qualify for financial assistance to pay for procedures, may reach out about options. Financial counselors can help individuals understand patients' responsibilities and may offer no-interest payment plans. Other options may include:

• Allina Partners Care Program: Assists patients who do not qualify for Medical Assistance or MinnesotaCare in Minnesota, or BadgerCare in Wisconsin, and whose annual incomes are at or below 275 percent of the federal poverty level

• MedCredit Financial Services: Provides a financing option to patients who can't afford to pay high monthly payments for their medical bills over a short period of time

• Prescription Assistance Program: Patients can speak to staff or contact an Allina Health health care provider to send a referral letter to the program

• Uninsured Discount Program: Provides a discount on medically necessary hospital charges for individuals who do not qualify for Medicaid or Allina Health Partners Care

Support group for parents and grandparents whose child has died. Provides an opportunity to meet parents who are working through their own grief and can empathize with a bereaved family. A bereaved sibling group meeting for siblings ages 16 and older to meet with siblings who have lost a brother or sister. Meetings are held in person or virtually the third Monday of each month.

• Correspondence with the NHTRC is confidential, and one may request assistance or report a tip anonymously.

• Helps individuals access direct services through an extensive referral network and facilitates reporting of potential human trafficking tips to specialized law enforcement agencies.

Provides senior rental apartments to Twin Cities-area residents. Apartments include one-bedroom, one-bedroom with den, two-bedroom, and accessible units. A centralized point of entry for single adults seeking emergency shelter. At the center, persons can:

• Talk with a Diversion Specialist about housing needs

• Obtain a new Community Card for all shelters in the system

• Reserve a bed at one of the participating shelters

Contracts with Change Healthcare to assist patients with Minnesota Healthcare Program or Hennepin Healthcare Charity Care applications. Representatives can be accessed at the Clinic & Specialty Center, Whittier Clinic, or Brooklyn Park Clinic. MNsure Enrollment Individuals can find, compare, and choose healthcare coverage, including commercial health insurance plans and low-cost or free plans through government programs. A financial counselor can help complete the online application. If eligible for a government program such as Medical Assistance or Minnesota Care, individuals may enroll through MNsure year-round. Uncompensated Care Enrollment If not eligible for coverage through MNsure, individuals may qualify for the Uncompensated Care discount program.
