ECFE is a parenting education program for all Minnesota families with children between the ages of birth to Kindergarten entrance. Learning opportunities through ECFE may occur in a variety of settings, such as the families' homes, district or community sites, and online parenting education and support. Programming and education services often include parents/caregivers and children but may just include parents/caregivers. ECFE works to strengthen families and engage the ability of all parents to provide an environment that supports the healthy development of their child. Services may include:

Minor Parent Services assist the pregnant and/or parenting minor parent to create a plan for the parent and the child to ensure their safety and well-being. Services includes:

• Help applying for financial and medical assistance

• Resource referrals to appropriate agencies to assist with decision making

Provides shelter for domestic violence survivors and their children. Pets are also welcome to the shelter. All basic needs including meals are provided.

Provides a selection of gently used clothing and accessories for sale and an opportunity for customers to sell items on consignment.

Helps workers who lost their jobs through no fault of their own find a new career. Staff work with the unemployed worker to re-enter the workforce in a stable job within a high-demand occupation. Services offered include career and skills assessments and personalized job search assistance. If an individual is considering training, they may receive help with tuition, other training-related expenses, and support services.

Helps people without children who can't work enough to support themselves, and whose income and resources are very low, to pay for basic needs. The maximum monthly benefit is:

• $128 for a person living in a licensed residential facility or receiving substance use disorder treatment services

• $350 for a person living in the community

• Emergency funds may be available if the individual cannot pay for basic needs, such as shelter or food, and their health or safety is at risk because of this

People who get GA are also eligible for help with medical and food costs through Medical Assistance - MA and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program - SNAP.

Cash-grant program for families with low incomes experiencing household emergencies. Families can receive assistance once every 12 months. The assistance received must resolve the crisis. Families must use their own money first. The amount of assistance provided might not cover the entire emergency, but it can help. Emergency assistance provides short-term, one-time assistance for households in a financial crisis because of fire, flood, storm, illness, accident, theft, utility shut-off, eviction, foreclosure, moving expense, necessary home repairs, or need for furniture or appliance replacement or repair. Assistance may also be available to households who are unable to pay for the cost of a funeral or burial expense.

24-unit permanent supportive housing program for single individuals experiencing chronic homelessness

• 4 units reserved for veterans

• 2 units are ADA accessible

• Each unit has a microwave, small fridge, and an in-unit bathroom

The Grand-Friend Program is an opportunity for senior citizens to share their friendship with a student at Rippleside Elementary and McGregor Elementary through a pen pal relationship and to improve the quality of life for children and seniors

MN Housing Rehabilitation Loan Program: Helps low-income homeowners make their homes more livable, accessible, and energy efficient. Eligible improvements include plumbing, electrical wiring, roofing, heating, accessibility modifications, and any repair needed to meet code requirements. Loans are deferred, with a lien on the property, and are forgivable after 15 years if the home remains the owner's primary residence. Includes mobile homes in a mobile home park, with a 10-year term. MN Housing Accessibility/Emergency Loan Program: Assists homeowners with urgent repairs and essential accessibility improvements to their home. Guidelines and terms for this loan program are the same as for Rehab Loan Program.
