A safe and supportive place for adults with mental illnesses to meet, get support, work on acquiring and developing important skills, and socialize. The Center hosts a variety of meetings and activities, including formal and informal group meetings, Certified Peer Support Specialist Services, and scheduled activities. Various social, including:

ECFE is a parenting education program for all Minnesota families with children between the ages of birth to Kindergarten entrance. Learning opportunities through ECFE may occur in a variety of settings, such as the families' homes, district or community sites, and online parenting education and support. Programming and education services often include parents/caregivers and children but may just include parents/caregivers. ECFE works to strengthen families and engage the ability of all parents to provide an environment that supports the healthy development of their child. Services may include:

• Book lending library

• Dad and child programs

• Early childhood screening for children ages 3 - 5

• Information on community resources

• Outdoor classroom

• Parent-child activities

• Parent discussion groups

• Play and learn activities for children

• Programs for non-English language learners

• School readiness program for children age 3 1/2 - 4

• Special events for the entire family

• Workshops on specific topics

Provides 24-hour residential care in a family-like group living setting for children and youth ages 5-17 who have a clinical diagnosis. Program supports include:

• Family counseling and parent education (via the Family Success Program)

• Group living and life skills instruction

• Individual and group therapy

• Recreation, creative arts, work experience, health services

• Special education, speech, and occupational therapy

Provides asset-building and strengths-based services that empower kids and youth by building on the skills they already have. Kids learn to overcome the challenges they face at home, school, and in their communities.

Aims to offer a comfortable, engaging lifestyle for older adults, combining personalized care, wellness, and social activities, and support that helps residents maintain independence.

Provides emergency financial assistance to veterans, service members, and their families facing temporary hardships due to military service-related incidents or medical issues. Assistance is provided on a case-by-case basis, with no repayment required

• Accepts monetary donations online to support military veterans in need and their families

• Donated funds are provided to assist families with quality-of-life issues

• Funding from the program assists in critical areas such as utilities, auto payments, insurance, auto repair, food, and rent for situations that require a quick turnaround

NOTE: Second requests will be accepted, but they must be for essential reasons, with immediate needs supported by the Chain of Command or verifying individuals with at least 45 days separating the two requests.

Offers a range of birth control options to meet different needs and lifestyles. Staff are available by appointment, in person or via telehealth, to help patients choose the method that is right for them. Some methods are available directly at the clinic, while others require a prescription filled at the patient's preferred pharmacy. Available methods include:

• Birth control pills taken daily

• Contraceptive patch replaced weekly

• Vaginal ring (NuvaRing©) inserted monthly

• Depo shot (Depo Provera©) injected every three months

• IUDs hormonal (effective for 3 to 7 years) and non-hormonal (effective up to 12 years), also available for emergency contraception

• Implant (Nexplanon©) inserted in the arm, effective for up to 5 years

• Condoms external and internal, protect against pregnancy and STIs

• Fertility awareness methods track menstrual cycles to avoid pregnancy

Note: Tubal ligation and vasectomy are not offered at WE Health Clinic but are available through referral.

Processes court cases filed in Douglas County and offers other legal services including:

• Civil Court

• Court records

• Criminal Court

• Family Court: cases involving families, divorce, domestic abuse actions, harassment, child custody, and paternity

• Juvenile Court: cases involving children under the age of 18

• Law Library

• Probate Court: cases concerning property belonging to deceased persons and administration of court-supervised guardianships and conservatorships for minor children, incapacitated or incompetent adults

• Traffic Court

Serves as the central financial and human resources department for the county. In addition, the office carries out a wide variety of miscellaneous functions, including:

Provides state-funded food assistance to legal noncitizens ages 50 or older who do not qualify for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, formerly called Food Stamps or Food Support) because of their citizenship status. Monthly benefits are loaded on an Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card, which looks and works like a debit card. The Child Support Division assists with:

• Adjusting court orders based on the cost-of-living index

• Collecting and processing payments

• Establishing parentage

• Establishing and enforcing court orders for child support, medical support, and child care support

• Locating parents

• Reviewing and modifying court orders for support

• Works with other states to enforce support when one parent does not live in Minnesota

Minnesota Child Support Online https://www.childsupport.dhs.state.mn.us/Welcome.request : an interactive website developed by the State of Minnesota to provide child support participants with information about their case(s). NOTE: Either parent of a child may get certain child support services. Parents who do not receive public assistance can apply for services at their county child support office for a one-time $25 service fee. Parents who receive public assistance for a child whose other parent does not live with them are automatically referred for services and are not charged a service fee.

Class offerings include adult basic education, arts and crafts classes, defensive driving courses, estate planning, English Language Learners (ELL) services, first-time homebuyer classes, 4-H, GED services, gymnastics, music lessons, sports and recreational activities, swimming lessons, and more.

A volunteer fire station providing fire and rescue services. Also, offers fire prevention information, safety, and volunteer opportunities.

Offers a confidential and anonymous peer support line for the entire military community to help address challenges before they escalate into a crisis, have questions about themselves, a friend, a loved one, or need to talk confidentially. Services include:

• Connection to a peer who is a veteran or a member of the military community

• Help finding resources and solutions

• Individuals remain connected and engaged after initial contact, as long as it takes, until the issue is resolved

• Provides active listening skills, understanding, and support

Helps individuals and families with low incomes (including temporary low incomes) get the food they need for nutritious and well-balanced meals. Provides extra support to help stretch a household's food budget - it is not meant to cover all the groceries a family needs. The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Employment and Training (SNAP E&T) program provides free employment and education training and support for people for getting SNAP benefits. SNAP E&T participants gain support, skills, training, or experience to reach their goals. Many organizations, including technical and community colleges, community-based organizations, county agencies, tribes, and CareerForce Centers provide SNAP E&T programs and services. Programs can include career planning, job search, training for in-demand jobs, student support, financial support, and continued support once a participant has a job.

Offers a nurse line available 24 hours/7 days a week for individuals who may need to speak with a nurse about medical care and where to go for care. Nurses can provide medical advice on what potential options are available such as virtual care, primary care, urgent care options, or seek emergency care if needed at a Sanford Health Systems location.
