The Energy Assistance Program helps pay heat and electricity costs. Payments for energy bills are sent directly to the household's energy company or fuel provider for propane, fuel oil, or wood. Financial assistance varies depending on household income and fuel costs. Also, the program helps homeowners repair or replace a failing furnace. The Energy Assistance Program provides additional grants for eligible households who need help with:
  • Getting reconnected to heat and power after disconnections
  • Paying for emergency fuel deliveries of propane, heating oil, or biofuel
  • Preventing disconnection
The deadline to apply for this program was May 31, 2025. Applications for the 2025 - 2026 heating season will be accepted starting September 2025.

Money Mentors is a six month program where individuals meet one-on-one virtually, with a volunteer financial coach to develop action steps to reach financial goals. Goals may include boosting savings, controlling spending, eliminating debt, or improving credit.

Weekly support groups facilitated by volunteers trained in group process. Activities are intended to complement and not replace professional care. The program offers a learning and growing experience by bringing together adults who have had losses and are in the grieving process. Typical sessions will include speakers or videos followed by small groups formed with attention to the specific kind of losses experienced by those who attend. Meetings occur every Thursday from 4 pm - 6 pm with the following layout:

Provides extra support to help stretch a household's food budget - it is not meant to cover all the groceries a family needs. Monthly benefits are loaded on an Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card, which looks and works like a debit card. The card can be used to buy groceries at authorized stores, farmers markets, and online retailers. Learn more about where to shop and what can be bought. The amount of benefits received is based on income, expenses, and number of people in the household. The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Employment and Training (SNAP E&T) program provides free employment and education training and support for people getting SNAP benefits. SNAP E&T participants gain support, skills, training, or experience to reach their goals. Many organizations, including technical and community colleges, community-based organizations, county agencies, tribes, and CareerForce Centers provide SNAP E&T programs and services. Programs can include career planning, job search, training for in-demand jobs, student support, financial support, and continued support once a participant has a job.
