A chemical use assessment is required to access public funding for chemical dependency treatment. Its purpose is to determine whether an individual may have a drinking or drug problem. The assessment includes an interview with a licensed assessor to review substance use and its impact on daily life and relationships, and to determine whether treatment is needed and, if so, which type of treatment would be most beneficial.

Provides investigation and intervention services on behalf of vulnerable adults who are unable to act on their own behalf, manage their own affairs, or who are in immediate danger of abuse. Types of abuse may be physical, emotional, sexual abuse, unsafe or hazardous living conditions, exploitation, neglect, or abandonment. Provides an outpatient psychiatric clinic located in Faribault, Minnesota. The clinic specializes in serving adults with severe and persistent mental health conditions, as well as adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities who experience co-occurring mental health conditions or behavioral challenges. Patients attend in person visits for initial assessments and at other times as determined appropriate by the treatment team. Most psychiatric appointments are provided through secure video visits, and staff may conduct occasional home visits when clinically indicated.Southern Cities Clinic serves a highly specialized population. The clinic is designed to provide ongoing, coordinated psychiatric care for adults who require a higher level of expertise and flexibility in treatment delivery.
