Homeownership Programs - Northwest Minnesota Multi County Housing and Redevelopment Authority - HRA
Homeownership programs include:
Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO): Provides homes available under a Contract for Deed with no down payment for those who qualify to assist in the stabilization of declining neighborhoods. Program rules provide a 0% down payment and interest loan for a maximum of 30 days.
Community Revitalization Fund (CRF): ?Provides low interest loans for qualified individuals in building or buying existing homes. Down payment assistance may be available through CRF program.
First-time Homebuyer Program: Partners with Minnesota Housing Finance Agency for funding made available annually
Section 8 Home Ownership Program: Helps with mortgage payments for current participants of the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher program. The program is open to participants who have been on the voucher program for at least one year. Once on the program, the family will be issued a Homeownership voucher.
