Families must use their own money first. The amount of assistance provided might not cover the entire emergency, but it can help.
Family emergency assistance, for evictions including first month's rent and/or damage deposit; utility disconnect; car repair for employment purposes; foreclosures; and other shelter related expenses, such as moving expenses, mortgage and property taxes.
Maximum amount of assistance provided is $99 for shelter and $700 for utilities.
