Housing Choice Voucher Program - Section 8 - Cloquet and Carlton Housing and Redevelopment Authority - HRA

The Housing Choice Vouchers (HCV) Program (formerly known as Section 8), is designed to assist very low-income families, the elderly, and people with disabilities. This program, following HUD rules and regulations, empowers eligible participants to secure quality, safe, and sanitary housing within the private market. Program participants choose a rental unit from the private rental market and the property owner must be willing to accept voucher-assisted tenants. All assisted rental units must pass an annual inspection based on federally established Housing Quality Standards.
