ECFE is a parenting education program for all Minnesota families with children between the ages of birth to Kindergarten entrance. Learning opportunities through ECFE may occur in a variety of settings, such as the families' homes, district or community sites, and online parenting education and support. Individuals can access the food shelf twice a month. Amount of food provided depends on number of people in a household. Provides American food and specialty ethnic food for Africans and Hispanics. Fresh food and liquid nutrition supplements are also provided. Mobile food shelf available once a month in front of Silver Lake Apartment office, 1515 3rd Avenue NE. Also provides eye exam and foot/nail care.

Minneapolis South Social Service Office - Salvation Army Twin Cities Social Services

Emergency food shelf for persons living in area. Clients will be asked to provide name, address, telephone number, the number of adults and the number of children to be served and if there are any infants. Clients should call the day on which food is to be picked up. Clients will need proof of address and identification for all members of the household. Usage is limited to once every 30 days. Senior Food Shelf: Usage is limited to seniors and may be used once a month by appointment only. Free home delivery. Free hot lunch provided Monday - Thursday to community members Hygiene: Shampoo, razors, shaving cream, soap and lotion are given to clients once every two months. The availability of hygiene products will vary. Transportation: Clients can qualify for tokens or a bus card in one of two ways. The caseworker must be able to verify by telephone that the client has a permanent job for which they have not received their first paycheck or have several medical appointments. Energy conservation services including furnace checks and minor repairs, call 612-721-6462. Referrals to LensCrafters for free eye exam and glasses. Limited financial assistance for special needs. Call to see if funding is available. Seasonal services, HeatShare, and emergency disaster services. Food support application assistance (SNAP)
