Fitness Programs - Bois Forte Band of Chippewa

Fitness program services include: - Native Hearts Fitness Center: Offers a facility with stationary and cardiovascular equipment, a racquetball court and sauna. Staff provide individual and group weight management, and body composition programs. Various tournaments, health challenges, elder exercises, youth sports, health walks, yoga and other events are provided. - Vermilion Wellness Center: Offers a sauna, cardio and weight equipment, dumbbells, and free weights and benches. Programs include elder activities, yoga and youth activities. A gym is open for use by local sports teams as well as community recreation teams.

Fitness Facilities: include six stair climbers, four treadmills, and three upright bikes Recreation Programs: provides year-round activities, programs, and events for all ages, interests, and abilities. Programs provide opportunities to learn life skills, stay fit and active, and to connect with the community. Senior Activities: programming geared for seniors such as day trips, movies, speakers, holiday parties, defensive driving classes, cards, and exercise programs. Tropical Adventure Indoor Playground: a multi-level tropical-themed indoor playground for children under 12. Includes swings, waterfall slide, spiral slide, and a jungle. Tropics Indoor Water Park: water park features Shipwreck Beach, an area for small children, an animal-themed water walk, splashing palm tree, giant floating sea creatures, etc. A swimming pool is available for adults including lap hours; whirlpool and patio for adults only.

Fitness Activities - Winona Family YMCA

The YMCA has a fitness center for individual work-outs and also offers a variety of fitness classes. Fitness classes offered include: aerobics, aquatics, cardio, pilates, yoga, cycling, strength training, flexibility, and relaxation. The Fitness Center has free weights, machine weights, and other training equipment and is open to ages 12 and over. Fitness assessments and personal training services are available. In addition the YMCA offers: - Racquetball/handball courts, - Two gymnasiums, - Two pools available with a pool-lift available for people with disabilities, - Indoor running track , - Two whirlpools, - Two saunas, and - Six locker rooms (including 4 special needs lockers). The YMCA also provides a babysitting service for participants using the facility.
