Free, confidential services for crime victims and witnesses:

• Assistance in obtaining Orders for Protection/Restraining Orders, if the victim/witness requests

• Crime Victim's Compensation Program: May assist in obtaining witness fees and information as to eligibility and reimbursement for financial losses incurred by the victim

• Financial Assistance: Victims may be eligible for financial assistance from the state if they have suffered economic loss as a result of violent crimes

The assessment helps determine public programs that might pay for an individual's long-term services and supports or help them learn about other options if they don't qualify for publicly funded programs.
