Cash-grant program for families with low incomes experiencing a household emergency. Families can receive assistance once every 12 months. The assistance received must resolve the crisis. Families must use their own money first. The amount of assistance provided might not cover the entire emergency, but it can help. ?Short-term, one-time grant assistance for persons in a financial crisis because of fire, flood, storm, illness, accident, theft, utility shut-off, eviction, foreclosure, moving expense, necessary home repairs, or need for furniture or appliance replacement or repair.

Helps individuals and families with low incomes (including temporary low incomes) get the food they need for nutritious and well-balanced meals. Provides extra support to help stretch a household's food budget - it is not meant to cover all the groceries a family needs. Monthly benefits are loaded on an Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card, which looks and works like a debit card. The card can be used to buy groceries at authorized stores, farmers markets, and online retailers. Learn more about where to shop and what can be bought. The amount of benefits received is based on income, expenses, and the number of people in the household. The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Employment and Training (SNAP E&T) program provides free employment and education training and support for people getting SNAP benefits. SNAP E&T participants gain support, skills, training, or experience to reach their goals. Many organizations, including technical and community colleges, community-based organizations, county agencies, tribes, and CareerForce Centers, provide SNAP E&T programs and services. Programs can include career planning, job search, training for in-demand jobs, student support, financial support, and continued support once a participant has a job.

• Once ODC trainees and employees are ready for employment, individualized job seeking/job retention skills are taught

• The ODC placement staff works closely with each person during the placement process so that exploring job resources, writing resumes, and job interviewing become lifelong skills

• Two-week evaluations within private companies can be used

• This allows an employer to critique the participant's performance without obligation to hire and provides the individual useful appraisal information

• ODC staff provide consultation and follow-up services for those moving into community employment to assure a smooth transition

Provides comprehensive medical care, including preventive services such as general physical examinations, well-baby care, and behavioral or mental health assessments, treatment, and referral.

• Addiction treatment substance use assessment

• Outpatient Programs: Day outpatient, evening outpatient, relapse prevention programs (for those who have had prior treatment), and outpatient group care. Intensive and highly structured. Clients are also encouraged to attend 12-step meetings and become acquainted with recovery philosophies. Weekly attendance for 2 hours of continuous care may be recommended for up to 12 weeks after completion of a primary care program. Services include individual counseling, group counseling, family involvement, intensity step-down programming, after-care programming, and education about community support organizations.

• Virtual visits are now available for outpatient services

Provides opportunities for volunteers to work with children and youth in settings that include classrooms, non-profit day care centers, and juvenile detention centers. Foster Grandparents lend their time, skills, and life experiences to assist children in reaching their potential academically, behaviorally, and developmentally. By interacting on a regular basis with youth, Foster Grandparents provide mentoring and role modeling services.

Child Protective Services accepts, responds to, and/or investigates reports of child abuse, neglect, or abandonment. Services may include the following: assessment of the initial referral, consultation with the family to determine the nature of the problem, temporary placement of children who are removed from the home, working with the family toward unification or reunification, and ongoing support services for children and their families with referrals to appropriate resources in the community. Reports are confidential (the identity of the person making the report is not given out). Reporters are asked to provide as much specific information regarding the suspected abuse or neglect as possible including location of the abuse/neglect, when the abuse occurred, and the identity of the person(s) suspected of abusing or neglecting the child(ren).

Employment counselors help SNAP clients in gaining skills and abilities to obtain employment to gain self-sufficiency, including:

Provides personalized support to each individual, including job coaching, skills training, and job search assistance. Assists individuals living with disabilities who are looking for:

Patients interested in knowing the cost of care, estimates of procedures, are interested in applying for financial assistance to help pay for procedures, or have questions about a bill, can contact the billing and financial department. Program options include:

• Financial Assistance: Based on income, resources, and ability to pay for those uninsured, underinsured, or whose insurance coverage status is not known

• Payment Plans: Offers flexible payment options to help patients manage out-of-pocket expenses, regardless of insurance status. Monthly payment plans are interest-free and payments must be 4% of the patient's total balance.

Door-to-door transportation for seniors to medical appointments, errands, and JCC programs. Vehicles are wheelchair accessible. Service is provided in the Saint Paul area, including neighborhoods such as Highland Park, Mac-Groveland, and Upper West 7th.
