ECFE is a parenting education program for all Minnesota families with children between the ages of birth to Kindergarten entrance. Learning opportunities through ECFE may occur in a variety of settings, such as the families' homes, district or community sites, and online parenting education and support. Programming and education services often include parents/caregivers and children but may just include parents/caregivers. Services may include:

• Parent-child activities

• Parent discussion groups

• Play and learn activities for children

• Special events for the entire family

• Information on community resources

• Workshops on specific topics

• School readiness

• Early childhood screening for children ages

Emergency medicine and Level 4 trauma center for severe and life-threatening situations that require immediate medical attention including: ?- Chest pain or pressure

• Heart attack or acute coronary syndrome

• Shortness of breath or pneumonia

• Stroke

• Sudden, severe headaches, paralysis or weakness

• Traumatic injury

Provides residential support services to individuals who have developmental disabilities. Services may include:

• Communication training

• Daily living skills

• Leisure and social activities

• Money management

• Plans roads that need to be rebuilt and proposed roads for housing projects and multi-use trails.

• Surveys roads that need to be rebuilt, proposed roads, right-of-way surveying, boudary surveying and cross sections.

• Design plans which include dirt work quantities, profiles which show old and new road alignment and cross sections.

• Construction staking for new road alignment and includes subgrade, ditches, class 5, culverts and bituminous.

• Maintains roads

• Plows roads

• Fills pot holes and seals cracks

• Gravels roads

• Grades roads

• Mows ditches

Assists people with obtaining and keeping permanent housing. Services include: ?- Assistance with employment, transportation, and benefits

Pays for room and board for seniors and adults with disabilities who have low incomes. Aims to reduce and prevent people from living in institutions or becoming homeless. ?All recipients receive assistance each month to help pay for rent and food. Some recipients also receive Housing Support supplemental funding to provide other services if they don't qualify for home and community-based waiver programs, including but not limited to: ?- Arranging for medical and social services

• Arranging for meetings and appointments

• Assistance with transportation

• Medication reminders

?The individual's housing provider receives payments to pay for rent, utilities, food, household supplies, and other necessities.

Services: - Medical exams - Psychological evaluations - Work evaluations as needed to determine eligibility for DRS services. - Hearing aids, prosthesis, and rehabilitation technology as needed for employment. - On-the-job training - Job coaching - Post-secondary training - Other types of training needed to reach a vocational goal. - Planning and employment services such as counseling and guidance, job placement, and small business set up. - Other services such as interpreters, vehicle adaptations, and etc as needed by the individual.

Provides various services to provide a healthy community and environment including:

• Healthy home assessment: Provides an assessment to determine safety and health of home

• Short-term radon test kit

• Well water testing kit

Offers anger management, and training on stress reduction and relaxation techniques

Food distribution and warm meal.

Provides all juvenile, adult misdemeanor, and adult gross misdemeanor investigations for the Cottonwood County District Court. This includes coordinating programming and supervision for all juveniles, adult misdemeanor, and gross misdemeanor offenders who reside in Cottonwood County. Staff in the felony office provide adult felony supervision, enhanced felony supervision, and adult sex offender supervision.

Direct Access allows an individual to go directly to a provider they choose to receive a comprehensive assessment and access care immediately. The county will assess individuals who need help paying for a chemical use assessment or treatment services through the Behavioral Health Fund. Services also include:

• Designated staff that provide chemical dependency assessments

• Referral to local community service providers for chemical assessments or treatment services. Also, directs individuals to visit www.fasttrackermn.org for additional resources.

• When legal intervention is required, staff can assist with mental health and chemical dependency commitments

Cash-grant program for adults with low incomes experiencing a household emergency. Adults can receive assistance once every 12 months. The assistance received must resolve the crisis. Adults must use their own money first. The amount of assistance received depends on the household size and type of emergency. The amount of assistance provided might not cover the entire emergency, but it can help.

• Provides assistance with past due rent for eviction, electric service payment assistance, gas service payment assistance, heating fuel payment assistance, and water service payment assistance due to a shutoff. Utility shut-off assistance is limited.

• Vendor is paid directly. Does not help with late or application fees.

Provides assisted living designed for individuals who want extra support while still enjoying comfort and independence. Servicdes provided:

• Access to 24 hours/7 days a week on-site services such as health monitoring and medication management

• Housekeeping and laundry

• Personalized assistance with daily tasks such as bathing, dressing, and more

• Social and recreational programs

This department also regulates food, beverage, and lodging establishments, assisted living facilities, school cafeterias, manufactured home parks, recreational camping areas, public swimming pools, fairs, festivals, and special events. Provides child care services to children ages 6 weeks - 4th grade. Offers a curriculum to help stimulate children's cognitive, physical, social and emotional development such as:

• Creative arts and crafts to foster creativity and build skills that lead to reading and writing

• Constructive play for children to learn science and numbers

• Dramatic and pretend play to help children use their imagination, explore and understand the world, learn how to work together, and learn behaviors

• Healthy and nutritional meals

• Read books and listen to recordings

• Sand, water, play dough activities, and active play

Provides cash assistance to help adults receiving Supplemental Security Income - SSI pay for their basic needs. Adults who are blind, have a disability, or are age 65 and older but don't qualify for SSI because of their income may still be eligible for MSA if they meet income requirements. The basic monthly MSA grant is calculated using either the maximum SSI amount (Federal Benefit Rate) for the adult or their countable income (if they do not receive SSI), and the MSA standard set by state law. Special Needs Grant MSA also may provide special payments for adults who need:

• Certain home repairs

• Certain household furniture and appliances

• Guardian or conservator service fees

• Help paying for housing costs through MSA Housing Assistance

• Medically prescribed special diets

• Representative payee services

Adults who receives MSA are also eligible for help with medical, food, and housing costs through Medical Assistance - MA, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance program - SNAP, and MSA Housing Assistance programs.

• Pregnancy termination services, both medication and surgical procedures
