Program offering therapy that examines behavior in terms of motivation at the unconscious level. Therapy focuses on the mental and emotional processes that are experienced and developed in early childhood, and their effects on the individual's past and current behavior and mental states. Individual, family, group, and couples therapy available.

Provides a paid employment program serving up to 40 individuals. Participants receive training in job skills, life skills, and community integration skills. Employment and training opportunities are compensated either hourly or by piece rate. Also offers community-integrated leisure and recreational activities to support social engagement and community participation.

Responsible for administering assessment for the county. Supervises and advises local jurisdictions on assessment matters, conducts statistical studies of assessment ratios, prepares appraisals for the County Board of Equalization and tax court, and advises the County Board. Provides assessment services for all unorganized townships and organized jurisdictions that contract with the county. Reappraises all parcels at least once every five years, inspects changes affecting value, administers homestead and other classifications, reviews taxpayer complaints, and assists local Boards of Review in evaluating appraisals.

Provides a housing resource line to individuals, families, and youth who are facing homelessness or are at risk of being homeless. The housing resource line provides information and referral to help people stay in their current housing situation or find new stable housing in the community.

Offers a variety of durable medical equipment items available for loans of up to three months. Items include wheelchairs, walkers, canes, shower chairs and benches, steerable knee scooter, and bathroom safety equipment that help a person stay mobile in their home and community.

Association includes the following:

• Conduct regional conferences each fall throughout the state on social issues

• Furnish information on pending human services bills and support sound social legislation

• Provide a statewide forum for the presentation and discussion of issues in the human service field

• Publishes a quarterly newsletter for membership on legislative issues and programming updates. The newsletter also spotlights members and highlights upcoming events

• Serve as a channel for local and state planning interests on matters of human services

• Sponsor annual MSSA conference

• Sponsor training events in one day forums on variety of human service issues

• Help caregivers identify and meet needs of care receiver

• Information and Referral: Offers resources to financial, legal, insurance, health and safety resources, housing, long-term care consultation, resources for respite care, and companionship

Provides assistance and support to veterans and their dependents in obtaining benefits through county, state, and federal programs including:

• Burial and death benefits

• Home loan guarantees

• State Subsistence: Financial assistance for basic dental and optical care, mortgage, personal needs, rent, and utilities for veterans who cannot work due to a temporary disability.

• VA Medical Center enrollment, assistance scheduling VA medical appointments, and assistance with pharmaceutical refills

Provides decluttering, organizing, and downsizing services for individuals and businesses. Services offered:

• Senior Move Management: Help sort through everything in the home, pack items to bring to the new home, manage distribution of items, and arrange other professional services to help with the move

• Decluttering the Home: Helps simplify the spaces in the home for households to create a comfortable living space to create a well-organized, peaceful, and welcoming home. Determines what to sell, donate, and keep for those with clutter.

Advocacy services for Latinos who speak primarily Spanish and who are trying to access state, county, and city programs Referrals to emergency food, education, and vocational programs serving the Spanish speaking community Information Center: provides service five days a week to support immediate emergency needs of Latino individuals or families by connecting clients to available community resources
