Projects could include insulating, weather-stripping, caulking, or repairing windows, in order to reduce fuel costs, increase furnace efficiency and air infiltration, in addition to maintaining the healthy air quality, and carbon monoxide levels. Upgrade of furnaces and water heaters.

- Provides weatherization improvements to reduce eligible households' energy costs and improve the comfort level in homes.
- An energy auditor will evaluate and determine what improvements will be completed by a licensed private contractor for eligible homeowners and renters experiencing low income.
- Weatherization measures may include insulation and infiltration work, furnace maintenance, venting of water heaters, heating and exhaust systems, and installation of smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors when needed. This work is done as a one-time improvement to the dwelling.
