We can help you find an apartment, complete the application, pay security deposit, and help with monthly rent. - Case management services to help you with education, employment, parenting, child care, and more. We can also help you with obtaining medical insurance and accessing medical, dental, or mental health services.
  • All youth participating in transitional housing have access to: Individual, and/or family counseling appropriate to the individual needs of single teens and teen parents.

An American Indian culturally grounded transitional living program available to youth between the ages of 16 - 21 who have no parental substitute or foster home to which they can safely go. This intervention program emphasizes training, education, and employment goals and is designed to develop a support system to meet the needs of the body, mind, and spirit. Services emphasize the relationship between youth and positive role models (staff and elders) to teach new behaviors, learn appropriate ways to express feelings, and manage everyday living. Creating community and cultural connections prepares youth for independent or interdependent living, helping to break the cycle of homelessness.

Offers early childhood education, supporting the program's two-generation model aimed at disrupting the cycle of poverty for single mothers and their children.
Provides a safe place for minor victims of sexual exploitation to heal while receiving services specific to the complex trauma of being sex trafficked. The facility provides six emergency shelter rooms and five long-term housing units with 24/7 on-site support. Services include:

  • Help victims fleeing a domestic violence situation seek safe shelter

  • Bridges for Long-Term Homeless Households: Provides temporary housing for individuals and families who meet the definition of long-term homeless and has a serious and persistent mental illness with a referral from Washington County Community Services
  • Housing Choice Vouchers (Section 8): Vouchers assist the tenant in renting a unit from a private landlord. Unit must be affordable and rent must be reasonable for the area. This type of assistance is transferable. It is assigned to the tenant and moves with the tenant so long as the tenant remains income eligible and has not violated any program rules
  • Public Housing: Operate a 40-unit, one bedroom, apartment complex, Whispering Pines in Forest Lake. Qualifying individuals pay up to 30% of their adjusted monthly income for rent. This type of assistance is not transferable. If the participant moves, the participant loses their assistance. Preference for elderly individuals ages 55-61 or person with disability

Housing intended to provide a stable, safe, and sober environment where men can live and work on their goals whether it be financial, school, medical, sobriety, etc. A community housing environment with programs, a minimum amount of rules, and communal sharing of house chores. Provides private furnished bedrooms for rent with a common kitchen, bathroom, social room, and a small exercise room/laundromat. There is a phone provided, but food, laundry, and cable TV are the resident's responsibility. Some rooms have a TV and refrigerator.
