Advocacy for people with disabilities who are having problems with agencies funded under the Rehabilitation Act, such as Minnesota's Vocational Rehabilitation Services (VRS) and its State Services for the Blind (SSB).
Protection and Advocacy for Beneficiaries of Social Security (PABSS)
Advocacy for people with disabilities who are Social Security beneficiaries (SSI and/or SSDI) in their efforts to secure or keep employment.

Education, outreach, and advocacy to ensure the full participation of persons with disabilities in the electoral process.
Protection and Advocacy for Individuals with Representative Payees
Reviews of representative payees and beneficiaries throughout Minnesota, working under the guidance of the Social Security Administration.

The Department of Human Services created the website and helpline, https://getgamblinghelp.com/, to address and offer aid to those struggling with compulsive gambling. Information for gambling and treatment is available, free of charge, for qualifying individuals throughout Minnesota.
To participate in a motivational text messaging program, text HOPE, a text program offering the option to talk with a live counselor, information about problem gambling, encouragement to change, tips, and suggestions on how to make the changes.

- Must Go Produce: Extra food available for families for the weekend
- Summer Bag Program: Provides additional kid-friendly food to families with school-age children during the summer. Weekend bags provide additional food for school-age children receiving free or reduced lunches but still struggle with hunger on weekends. Each bag includes healthy food options for kids such as canned fruit and vegetable; juice box; spaghetti and spaghetti sauce; potential extras like granola bars and fruit cups. 1 bag is available for every 2 children. 1 bag is available per month. Goal is to help compensate for kids who aren't getting school lunch during the summer.

The Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP) is Minnesota's version of TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families). MFIP helps families with children meet their basic needs, while helping parents move to financial stability through work. The program provides a monthly cash payment to help supplement a family's income as they move from public assistance to employment. Participants must meet program requirements, or their benefits will be reduced. Lifetime benefits are limited to 60 months.
When families first apply for cash assistance, they will start in the Diversionary Work Program (DWP). It is a four-month program that helps parents go to work right away rather than enroll in MFIP.

When a family contacts the intake team, staff may recommend one or more assessments based on the concerns described. Results are used to guide treatment planning and identify appropriate services. Assessments include:
- Children's Mental Health Assessment: Helps clinicians and caregivers understand factors contributing to a child's social or emotional challenges. Results inform recommendations for services or supports at home, in school, and in the community.
- Occupational Therapy Assessment: Identifies areas of daily living where a child may need support to build independence. It includes a caregiver interview and an assessment of sensory processing, motor coordination, self-care skills, play skills, social participation, and emotional regulation.
- Speech Therapy Assessment: Provides information about a child's communication skills. It examines how the child understands language, expresses needs, and uses social interaction. Findings guide goal setting and treatment planning for speech and language development.
