Focus is on those caring for someone who is 55 years or older. Six weeks of 1.5 hour workshops. Offered both virtually, and in-person, depending upon the time of registration. Call to register for this workshop.

Provides Resources for Enhancing Alzheimer's Caregiver Health (REACH). This program is an approach used by caregiver consultants to support family members and others who are caring for someone with Alzhiemer's disease or a related dementia. The goals are to teach caregivers how to reduce stress, solve problems, and manage difficult behaviors the person with memory loss may display; as well as to help caregivers feel confident in the care they provide and improve their ability to cope. After the caregiver completes the REACH assessment, 4 core sessions are offered and tailored to what the caregiver most needs. The caregiver consultant holds the sessions in person (though alternative service options may be available via phone) typically over 2 - 3 months.
Provides Resources for Enhancing Alzheimer's Caregiver Health (REACH). This program is an approach used by caregiver consultants to support family members and others who are caring for someone with Alzhiemer's disease or a related dementia. The goals are to teach caregivers how to reduce stress, solve problems, and manage difficult behaviors the person with memory loss may display; as well as to help caregivers feel confident in the care they provide and improve their ability to cope. After the caregiver completes the REACH assessment, 4 core sessions are offered and tailored to what the caregiver most needs. The caregiver consultant holds the sessions in person (though alternative service options may be available via phone) typically over 2 - 3 months.

Children's foster care
- A 24-hour substitute care for children placed away from their parents or guardians and for whom the state agency has placement and care responsibility. 4 residential program sites/8 beds.

Intensive residential treatment
- Short term for up to 90 days. 10 bed facilities at Brentwood (Marshall) and Fresh Start (Duluth). Brentwood has 1 of the 10 beds as a swing bed (crisis and IRT bed). Fresh Start serves an all-female population. 20 total IRT beds.
Intellectual disabilities
- Provides an Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF/IID). Individual must have a developmental disability or related condition by their 22nd birthday and requires a 24-hour plan of care. 10 facilities, 58 beds. 5 beds at Arlington in Fergus Falls and Rollingwood in North Mankato. 6 beds at Prairiewood, Rosewood, and Scenicwood in Alexandria; Lakewood in Spicer; Northwood in Red Lake Falls; Eastwood and Westwood in Redwood Falls; and Ravenwood in Morris.

Aging Mastery Program (AMP): Through the National Council on Aging; 8 weeks in study;each week is a different topic (financial, physical, mental health, etc.);review books and video materials over Zoom; aims to help older adults take key steps to improve their wellbeing, add stability to their lives, and strengthen their ties to communities; professionals visit as speakers to assist with sessions.
Dementia Friends-sessions: Provides to community members of all ages. Healthcare specific training is available, as well as adaptations for particular workplaces, known as Dementia Friendly in the Workplace. These are one-day sessions that last from 60-80 minutes. Training available to community members who have attended a Dementia Friends session, to become Dementia Champions, so that they too, can provide Dementia Friends sessions. This is a one-day session.
Powerful Tools for Caregiving (PTC): Educational program designed to help family caregivers take care of themselves while caring for a relative or a friend. Focus is on those caring for someone who is 55 years or older. Six weeks of 1.5 hour workshops. Offered both virtually, and in-person, depending upon the time of registration. Call to register for this workshop.
Caregiver Training Workshop: This workshop is approximately 2 hours long. Must pre-register and the workshop is provided in-person. The training walks through a workbook that allows the participant (caregiver) to develop a plan of how tocare for their care receiver if something should happen to them and they are nolonger able to care for that older adult-either temporarily or definitively.
Fraud and Scam Prevention Trainings: Provides presentations relating to fraud and scam preventionto the communities of service-upon request.
