Funds will vary on a monthly basis. The Prevention Assistance fund assists families and individuals facing eviction with back-rent financial assistance and landlord-tenant negotiation assistance. Case management includes services such as transportation assistance, information/referral, and landlord tenant law training with the goal of achieving housing stability moving forward.
Rapid Re-Housing (RRH): Provides short-term rent assistance and/or deposit for individuals and families with children who are homeless to get into permanent affordable housing where the participant is the leaseholder and chooses their own apartment according to their needs. RRH includes case management services such as life skills training, transportation assistance, information/referral, landlord tenant law training, and utility assistance for up to six months with the goal of obtaining and subsequently maintaining stable housing. Households will be assessed and prioritized using the Coordinated Entry System.

PSH targets households that need intensive case management services due to challenges such as significant and persistent mental health issues and chemical dependency. Households will be assessed and prioritized using the Coordinated Entry System.

Owns and operates a number of permanent housing units throughout Minnesota. Duluth, Mankato, and Saint Cloud offer permanent supportive housing and affordable, independent permanent housing in Minneapolis, Saint Paul, Saint Cloud, Duluth, and Rochester. These units consist of efficiencies, one-bedroom, two-bedrooms, and Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) which are similar to a tiny home. Tenant screening criteria can be more lenient than community landlords.

Outreach, case management, and rental assistance are also available to homeless youth under the age of 24.
NOTE: Single adults and youth must get a pre-screen through United Way 211 to access this program. The pre-screen information is provided to Saint Louis County Housing Assessment Team (SLCHAT).
